In September 1999 Philippe had the dream of a real one-handed cut.
He wanted to perform the same sort of cut which is done on a table but
this time without a table. Of course it has to be done a little bit quicker
than the regular cut on a table. It seemed to be impossible to realize
this (also to certain magicians). Philippe started to rehearse and managed
his dream-cut one day. Because he knew now that his cut was no longer a
dream he started to fine tune it. At the magic convention in Orlando 2001
he presented his one handed cut in the air to a large audience of magicians
and called it Swiss-Cut.
The day Philippe managed the first time to do his one-handed cut, he was dreaming
of a triple one-handed cut. The crazy dream was to perform a triple cut
in the air by throwing first the top of the deck and then the middle of
the deck. Afterwards to put the the bottom of the deck on the middle of
the deck. And finally to put those 2 packets on the top of the deck which
was thrown first. This idea sounds very complicated. So there was no chance
to realize it. But Philippe told everybody that it is possible because
once he almost managed it. Because
Philippe's philosophy is to make dreams to come true, he was thinking a
lot about his idea of a triple-cut in the air. After the magic convention
in San Diego 2002, Philippe restarted to train on his special cut. But
this time he had changed his concept and so he was successful.
